Course: Beginning Drawing

Medium: Charcoal on Paper
This assignment challenges students to draw objects much larger than their actual size. Students are instructed to find an object that will fit in the palm of their hand. They then explore how to create an interesting composition with the object by taking multiple photographs. Finally, without using a grid, they work from their photograph(s) to replicate the proportions and minute details of the object.
